The Xena’s Gear set was released in December 2014 and is comprised of 10 items. 5 were in the initial release and 5 ‘Legendary Defensive Items’ were released in Jan 2015. They are all combat focussed and most include at least one of the three new boosts. Enemy Defense Debuff, Enemy Health Debuff and Enemy Troop Attack Debuff. See the Guide to Combat Boosts for more info. They primarily use standard materials mixed in with Death’s Ashes, Wax, Cotton and Yellow Leaf. Silver costs are expensive to very expensive.
Purpose: Combat Defense
With two large defensive combat boosts this item is definitely is orientated towards defensive combat.

Best Combat Gear Rank:
#2 for Defensive Helmet
A narrow 2nd place behind the excellent Reaper’s Hood, this is an excellent combat helmet. One of the best items for Enemy Attack debuff which is one of the best defensive boosts around. A large defense boost is nice to see which partly compensates for it not being the most effective of boosts.
Two large defensive combat boosts – this item servers its purpose exceptionally well.
Silver Cost: 114,425,000
At 115m silver this item is very expensive.
Two standard materials is nice. Wax is a rare seasonal material which is hard to get hold of but the real killer is the Demon Tail. This is a rare monster item and the only effective way to get hold of it is though Krampus chests. This means lots of inferno/KvK events or big spending.
An excellent combat item, this is marginally superior to the Feathered Fortress Armor. A must build if you can get hold of a Demon Tail.
